A wide variety of transportation is available in Bangkok, Thailand. They are the local buses, taxis, the sky train (BTS), tuk-tuks, or motorcyles.

Taxi fares are quite affordable and taxis are abundant. While a few teachers live within walking distance to school, most simply hop in a taxi to get to school.

Bangkok's newest form of transportation is the the BTS skytrain. Opened in December of 1999, the BTS skytrain moves quickly above the city traffic. The skytrain is a convenient way to get from specific places to other specific places, however, the skytrain's scope is somewhat limited. Often a combination of taxi and skytrain is the best transportation choice.
