It is our vision to cultivate in each student the following Expected Schoolwide Learning Results (ESLRs):

  1. Effective Communicator
  2. Critical Thinker
  3. Independent Learner
  4. World Class Citizen

ESLR1An Effective Communicator - Demonstrates the ability to speak, read and write the English language. Mastery of these communication skills will be attained while gaining knowledge and an understanding of Language Arts, mathematics, Science, Social Studies and the evolution of World Culture. These students should be able to express and convey their message and/or thoughts in such a way that can be understood by other people. Additionally, they should not be afraid to voice their opinion in a manner that is favorable to effective communication.

ESLR2A World Class Citizen- Contributes to well-being of his/her family, school, community, country and the world at large by demonstrating the values and qualities of a good citizen. He/she will consider how their individual actions and choices will affect others. A responsible student of this caliber will be aware of a myriad of issues both locally and internationally, and the dynamic technological, social and economic changes that exist in today’s global environment. In short, these students will become positive, productive and contributing members of society.

ESLR3An Independent Learner - Exhibits self-discipline, self-confidence and is self-directed. These are students who are independently motivated and able to learn both in and out of the classroom. These are students who exhibit the characteristic of a life-long learner. They should be able to complete research for themselves and evaluate information while drawing their own conclusions. Within each task they complete, these students should be constantly working towards self-improvement.

ESLR4A Critical Thinker - Exhibits critical and analytical skills while showing self-reliance by demonstrating the ability to find answers for themselves. They should be continually striving to answer the questions, why? These students are able to take information, process it and draw their own conclusions.
