Summer School
Every year ASB offers an academically challenging
and fun filled Summer School from Kindergarten
through grade 12. HS students can receive credit
for some courses. Studying over the summer gives
students the skills they need to be competitive
in the mainstream program.
Intensive
Studies
The Intensive Studies program is designed to
help those students acquire the necessary academic
English they will need to be successful in our
mainstream academic classes.
English
as a Second Language
Students who do not speak English as their first
language as provided supplementary support in
the classroom as well as special classes in
the ESL department. Students are taught English
to enable them to keep up with the mainstream
academic workload and to enhance their daily
communication skills.
Transportation
The school provides door-to-door service for
students living in the greater Bangkok area.
Late buses are provided for those students wishing
to participate in extra-curricular activities
after-school. Each bus is provided a bus monitor
to ensure that comfort and safety of our students.
Parent
Teacher Organization (PTO)
The PTO sponsors activities that strengthen
communication between parents and the school.
Popular events such as the Sukumvit Fair enjoy
the full participation of parents who are encouraged
to volunteer their time and energy to make the
school a success. All parents are encouraged
to join the PTO.
Food
Service
The ASB canteen provides a delicious and nutritious
international cuisine. Breakfast, lunch and
snacks are provided for our students and staff
daily.
Student
Health Services
A full-time nurse is on hand to look after the
general health needs of students and staff.
Guidance
and Counseling
Our guidance and Counseling program is designed
to assist students in the selection of coursework
leading to a high school diploma. In addition
the school provides college and career counseling
services. Short-term student and family counseling
services are also provided.
Security
A registered 24-hour security service is provided
to ensure a safe and secure environment on our
campuses.
ASB
Bangna Campus Boarding Facility
The American School of Bangkok Boarding House
is located on the Bangna Campus. The boarding
house offers modern, comfortable accommodations
with cable TV, a recreation room, Internet access
and qualified dorm residents to monitor students’
day-to dormitory life.
