SUPERINTENDENT

Dr. Thomas Dellario, celebrating his 10th year anniversary in international education, has recently been appointed as Superintendent of The American School of Bangkok. His previous overseas experiences include Curriculum Coordinator at Escola Americana Do Rio de Janerio, Brazil, The High School Principal at the American International School in Cairo, Egypt and most recently, the past 6 years, Headmaster, Academic Director, and High School Principal at The Thai-Chinese International School in Bangkok, Thailand.

“Dr. Tom”, a native Michigander worked in the Detroit and Kalamazoo Public Schools as a teacher and administrator. He also served as an adjunct professor and student-teacher coordinator for Western Michigan Universities Department of Education. Dr. Dellario’s undergraduate studies include History and English, his Master’s degree in the field of Communications Arts and Sciences was achieved through Western Michigan University and the University of Michigan. His Doctoral Degree in Educational Administration was completed at Western Michigan University.

Dr. Dellario’s Philosophy of Education clearly centers on the collaboration efforts of all “stakeholders.” He further believes “When School Boards, Parents, Administrators, Teachers, Students and Staff are all working cohesively and harmoniously together, they can create the most effective, dynamic educational programs conceivable.”

Based on this philosophy, Dr. Dellario’s goal is to make The American School of Bangkok the most desirable international school to attend in Bangkok, Thailand.
