WASC VISITS ASB

During the week of March 26-30, 2006 The American School of Bangkok was pleased to welcome the Dr. Bill Parker and his visitation team of educational professionals from the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) which is one of six regional associations that accredit public and private schools, colleges, and universities in the United States.  The accreditation from WASC brings ASB alongside top schools in the USA and other quality schools around the globe.

The American School of Bangkok was assessed in all areas which included academic performance, curriculum development, facilities, and provision of educational resources. The school received many recommendations from the visiting committee on school development, enhanced academic performance, and the acquisition of new methodologies to augment the education process in the institution.

The visitation committee will forward their report to the WASC commission, and the school is expected to receive news about the extension of the WASC accreditation in the month of June.
