STUDENTS PARTICIPATE IN THE HARVARD MODEL CONGRESS
ASIA - 2005
A
team of seventeen ASB High School students and
their advisors participated in the Harvard Model
Congress Asia 2005, an event held at the United
Nations Conference Center in Bangkok, Thailand
from September 9-11, 2005.
At
the HMC-Asia Conference, students were encouraged
to think internationally and motivated to engage
in civic participation. In addition to getting
some familiarization of the American Government’s
processes, students also got the opportunity
to sharpen their English-speaking and debate
skills.
This
prestigious conference provided an excellent
opportunity for ASB students to work with well-trained
and experienced conference staff from Harvard
University, and gain more knowledge about politics
while learning about government and international
issues.
