SPORTS DAY 2006 - RECAP

The American School of Bangkok hosted their annual Sports Day on the following dates:

• Thursday, February 9th 2006 - Elementary (both campuses) Sports Day (at ASB Bangna Campus)
• Friday, February 10th 2006 - Bangna Nursery & Kindergarten Sports Day (at ASB Bangna Campus)
• Thursday, February 16th 2006 - Middle / High School (both campuses) Sports Day (at ASB Bangna Campus)
• Friay, February 17th 2006- Sukhumvit Nursery & Kindergarten Sports Day (at ASB Sukhumvit Campus)

Attended by parents, teachers and students, the event was full of fun, cheers, exciting games, and great exhibition of sportsmanship qualities by ASB students.

ASB GOLFERS ARE WINNERS!

A team of ASB Golfers went out to Bangkok Golf Club to play in the ISB International Golf Tournament. They played against the teams from the best schools in Bangkok and teams from Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Hong Kong, Manila, Jakarta and Taipei.

At the end of the day it turned out no one was able to beat the very talented boys from ASB. Our golfers won the boys’ team tournament with an excellent performance from the team. Top (grade 11) won the singles tournament too, with a score of even par. Ten (grade 8) won the Closest to the line drive and Danny (grade 12) won the longest drive competition (360 yards!!!!!!).

They had a great day and will be back next year to defend their title.

ASB STUDENTS PARTICIPATE IN TISAC ATHLETICS EVENT

ASB competed in the Thailand International School Activities Conference (TISAC) Athletics Event on March 22, 2006 at the ASB Bangna Campus.

Comprising of nine international schools, the purpose of TISAC is to promote sports, arts, and cultural exchange between the schools in various activities throughout the year.

Participants competed in different track and field events such as running and jumping. All students exhibited great sportsmanship qualities and skills.
