HONORS ASSEMBLY 2002

(Achievement Awards Ceremony)

Amidst excited students, faculty, and parents, the American School of Bangkok held its first ever Achievement Awards Ceremony on Friday May 17th, 2002 at the Bangna Campus (on the same day as Graduation), and on Tuesday May 21st, 2002 at the Sukhumvit Campus.

Awards were given in the following categories:-

1. B.U.G. - Bringing Up Grades certificates (Elementary) - for successful and marked improvement in various subjects)

2. Most Improved (Middle, High School) - for showing excellent academic improvement in (Math, Science, Language, etc.)

3. Academic Achiever - for showing the highest level of academic achievement in (Math, Science, Language Art, etc.)

4. Perfect attendance for the year - for not missing any school the entire year

5. 100% Homework - Certificates - for successfully turning in all homework for the entire year

6. Best Sportsperson - for exhibiting the qualities of excellent sportsmanship (in basketball, swimming, etc.)

7. Leadership Award - for being an involved and organizing member of our school's community.

8. Classroom Award - for being the best-behaved and cooperative class in elementary, middle, high school.

9. Principal's Award - for displaying the true spirit of The American School of Bangkok, socially as well as academically

The Achievement Awards Ceremony is a very positive addition to the school's educational program. The American School of Bangkok is very delighted to be able to honor the the outstanding work of the students, and most of all, to discover that the school has many students who are not only academically intelligent, but are also talented and high spirited young individuals.

The American School of Bangkok 's Achievement Awards Ceremony will become a life long tradition of the school, and will encourage all of the students to strive harder the next academic year.
