LOY
KRATHONG 2003 RECAP
The
American School of Bangkok celebrated the traditional
Thai festival "Loy Krathong" on Friday,
November 7th 2003 Many students, teachers, and
parents came beautifully dressed in traditional
Thai costumes to mark the occasion.
The events
of the day included a parade of students in
traditional Thai costumes, a Krathong contest,
traditional Thai dances by students, "Rum
Wong Wan Loy Krathong" dance session by
teachers, and the floating of Krathongs that
were made in the classrooms. The Bangna Campus
also held a boat racing to mark the event. The
day was fun-filled and an enjoyable one with
the exhibition of the beauties of the "Land
of Smiles".
